Freddy Arredondo, Cave B's Head Winemaker since 2008, was recognized by the Seattle Wine Awards in July 2023 as one of the four Best Winemakers in Washington State. His journey to winemaking is anything but ordinary — his passion for food began at 13 while cooking in his family's California restaurant. After culinary school and stints as a chef in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and aboard a cruise ship in Hawaii, he received a scholarship to the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners in Italy, where he discovered a deeper passion for wine and met his future wife, Carrie Bryan, whose family founded Cave B Estate Winery. Today, Freddy leads winemaking at Cave B and Carrie brings her expertise to the winery's marketing and events.
