Sail the Legendary Rhine with One of Washington's Most Acclaimed Winemakers

Freddy Arredondo, Cave B's Head Winemaker, has been crafting wine at the winery since 2006 and became Head Winemaker in 2008. In July 2023, Freddy was recognized by the Seattle Wine Awards as one of the four Best Winemakers in Washington State—an honor reflecting his exceptional palate, creativity, and dedication to the Washington wine industry.

But Freddy's journey to winemaking is anything but ordinary. His passion for food began at just 13 years old while cooking in his family's restaurant in California. After culinary school, he worked as a chef in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and aboard a cruise ship in Hawaii before receiving a scholarship to attend the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners in Italy. It was there that two life-changing chapters began: Freddy discovered a deeper passion for wine and met his future wife, Carrie Bryan, whose family founded Cave B Estate Winery.

That journey ultimately brought Freddy to Washington State and winemaking school, followed by his return to Cave B as Assistant Winemaker and, later, Head Winemaker. Today, Freddy and Carrie are part of the family team helping shape the future of Cave B, with Freddy leading winemaking and Carrie bringing her expertise to the winery's marketing and events.
